Sensory items are a great way for Pre-K students to learn teamwork, self regulation, how to make good choices, time management, fine motor and social skills Additionally, sensory items help teachers provide individualized instruction to students based on their learning needs. In class, sensory items, would allow me to arrange my students into high interest purposeful play that students could participate in throughout the school day. I have noticed that my students are much more engaged and have greater success with academic achievement goals after we have done sensory work. Students are happy and enjoy sensory play because they are engaged and using their creative minds. . The items that I have selected for my project will allow me to set up more sensory purposeful play in my classroom . The rug and body pillow will give my students a place when they need a calm space.
