I have the opportunity of teaching a wonderful bunch of 4th graders. My students represent many different cultures and economic backgrounds. Many of my students are academically challenged due to their economic backgrounds. They come from all walks of life, but these amazing students are determined to learn and have to have exciting experiences. This great bunch of kids needs their world open to them by being provided with STEM materials that will advance their thinking skills in addition to giving them first hand experiences of that the real world is like out there. I am new to this grade and school, and so I am eager to make our classroom an exciting enriching environment for my students to come and explore topics such as science, technology, engineering, and math by finding resources that will give them the maximum benefit.
