Ninety percent of my scholars are below reading level. It is my job to help my kids learn how to read and help them find a love for reading. I have learned that fifth graders enjoy having a space where they can curl up, read a book and escape from the routine of sitting in a desk all day. I believe that the pillows I have asked for will help create that comfortable space. I have also requested books of various levels to help meet the wide range of reading levels in my classroom. I have scholars reading books from Guided Reading Level D all the way to an X. It is essential to have books available, so all my scholars can find something perfect for them. Finally, I have asked for storage bins, so that each scholar can keep their reading essentials organized to maximize learning time and keep items in good condition.
