Many of my students are at high risk of falling behind in our rapidly advancing and competitive information age. I also have several students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and other conditions that effect their learning and behavior. I have to put a lot of energy and enthusiasm into my lessons to keep my kids engaged and focused. Even with a lot of energy, planning, and preparation, it is difficult to adequately support my struggling students, while challenging my advanced students, and at the same time keeping my whole class actively engaged all day. STEAM education provides opportunities for all learners to explore, experiment, and have enriching hands-on experiences to keep them engaged and challenged.
