We are a small school and try to provide all students a comfortable, caring and warm environment in which to learn. My preschool students have special needs and are absolutely wonderful! Many of my students have very limited speech and books are giving them the opportunity to receptively learn new language and expressively learn imitation of sounds, words and sentences! I read books on a daily basis, and many books become instant favorites. The kids follow along with stories, point to pictures and imitate the language. The kids are very interested in turning pages and looking at pictures in all my books. Early literacy at its finest is demonstrated in my class every day.
