My students have a desire to learn, but limited resources outside of the classroom to get that done. Living in inner city Dallas, my students lack the financial needs necessary to be able to see life outside of Dallas. We are currently talking about Africa, and it is frustrating my students to not be able to actually relate to what is happening in Africa, even though there are certain things they should be able to relate to. My students are so intrigued by the outside world, but they do not truly understand what all is out there, nor do they understand what has happened in our world that has shaped our planet into what it is today.

About my class
