Classrooms are ever changing, and the integration of digital learning helps me better serve my students. In each of my classes, I have more than 20 students who all learn differently, I have 5-10 students who speak English as a second language, and I have at least 1 student in who requires some type of learning/testing based accommodation. Digital Learning is my saving grace; it is how I meet my students needs where they are, every single day. The better I am at facilitating learning using digital platforms, the better off my students are as they no longer have to worry about the “pressure” of being different. The headphones will allow me to separate my students into smaller groups to better facilitate instruction. As I work with one group, another will be logged into their chrome books watching videos related to the days' objective. The headphones serve as a means of management, as students are engaged with their assignment on the computer, they can't hear what the other group is doing. My goal is to provide a safe space for learning, free of judgement and I've found that my students perform better in smaller groups. Fulfilling my request would really set us up for continued success.
