The project I chose will help ignite the love of reading and learning in my classroom. These books of various genres such as the Eyewitness Series and and American History Paperback Library will not only be used to teach reading skills, but to teach about important figures in history and spark an interest in science. The Multicultural Stories will be analyzed by the readers and be used to connect to the different characters in each book. The students will have opportunities to see their customs and traditions mirrored in literature. Students will be able to sit with other students to read, analyze and discuss each book. Every student will build a foundation and a love for learning through reading!
