Making these colorful aprons will bring some fun to an otherwise very difficult class. The students can display their personal style and have some fun learning about the tie-dye process. Students will have the opportunity to wear the aprons all year while performing labs as well as the during other science lab classes they may be taking. Chemistry can be fun and applicable at the same time. This activity will help students to see how chemistry is used in the manufacturing processes related to fashion, textiles, cosmetics as well as many other industries that utilize dyes in their production process. Help these kids have some fun during their stressful academic day!
