My students have recently been exposed to using laptops and love them. They are engaged and learning to maneuver all around the key board and appropriate web site. They are learning to type and share their work. Unfortunately, they only get this opportunity once a week. In this technological world this is a huge disadvantage. My students should receive the same advantage as students in affluent neighborhood schools. It is essential for their success. They need to be college and career ready not only for assessments but for life. Helping them to be successful in this manner is helping all of society.
