My students are 1st graders who are in the midst of learning to read. Their eagerness to devour books amazes me every day. My classroom buzzes with the sound of students enjoying books day after day. Favorite books are passed around from kid to kid with excitement. Students anxiously wait for a chance to read new books every day. We are in need of more books to accommodate our love of reading. I continue to search for more and more books to ensure my students grow their love of reading. My students enjoy books with familiar characters that they can relate to. We feel the emotions that the characters feel as we read each book.
