I have a diverse classroom of students at different levels of learning capabilities and I would like to slowly build a classroom of technology options that can offer my students the chance to go further with reading, science, and math to keep their interest in learning and expanding at a high level. iPads are easy to use, mobile and have infinite opportunities to use apps that expand learning for students who need a challenge as well as apps to help strengthen the foundational skills for students who need to relearn important reading and math skills necessary to be successful in school and their futures. It is beneficial to students to have opportunities to work on skills that will help them expand or strengthen their learning and curiosity about the world and iPads can make this possible. iPads offer access to a world where a student can be working on what they need even when the rest of the class needs to be working on something else. Students who understand the foundational skills being taught should not have to sit in class and have to relearn or slow down just because they already have what is needed at their grade level. Students deserve the opportunity to continue growing and expanding their knowledge at a level that meets their needs. This is also true for the students who need more practice to be successful at their grade level. iPads offer individualized learning that students need and as their teacher I want to be able to offer my students as many opportunities to prepare for not only the next grade but their futures. I want to be able to offer them as much as I can so I am looking for ways to provide these opportunities to my students through the use of technology.
