Throughout schools, the term differentiated instruction is becoming more and more common. A lot of students are now being diagnosed with various disabilities, and their ability to focus can be a challenge. Therefore it is a requirement to teach them on their academic level. This can be difficult when students have attention deficit disorders. However, one thing they have in common with students without disabilities is their love of technology, but noise limits their ability to focus. If my students had headphones, this would help to limit the noise they hear, and would help them focus more. As a part of our curriculum, my students are required to do assignments on the computers; providing them with headphones will help limit distractions while they work. The limitation on distractions will cause them to have better concentration on the skills and strategies they need to learn, in all academic areas. By contributing to our project, you will assist in improving and increasing students focus and attention. This in turn, will eventually lead to an increase in their overall academic success, as well as make them better equipped for today's society.
