During independent work time the students ask for privacy so their focus is on what they can do, not worrying about what others see. The study carrels will be so much more helpful than the binders and folders we use to give them a private work space. Daily the students are encouraged to work as partners and in teams so they dive into their work when able to use dry erase markers to share their work while writing on their desks. The baskets will be perfect to store the items they share while balanced on a lamp pole each work group of four has between their desks!
