The flexible seating I am requesting for my classroom will be used for my students to move and work around the classroom as they choose. Our literacy and intervention blocks include daily small group instruction. My students can use the various types of seating during their centers time. Our classroom also includes students who have special needs. I am working to create a "Calming Corner" for students who are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and in need of a break for the regular hubbub of the classroom. Students learn best when they have control and choice within their classroom. This is what I am aspiring to achieve with this project!
