We have the most wonderful students at our school. I have been teaching for almost 25 years. Next year I am starting our first 6th grade class at our school. Because our building is not ready, they are housing the two 6th grade classes in the computer lab and hallway. I will be co-team-teaching with a wonderful college. However, the lack of furniture and storage space is a bit concerning. Many of our students are coming from low income households. We have 80% of our students receiving free/reduced lunch. We also have a high number of children that would benefit from flexible seating and co-teaching model. We plan to co-team-teach even after we are out of the hallways and in the new building.
