The students at my school are a diverse population of 500 students. With a vibrant mix of cultures, using singing, playing instruments and folk dancing is used to help the students better understand each other. The students love to share their creations with audiences at school and in public. With such financial restraints in our district and my school where 87% are low income, I really want to have my students be able to use STEM/STEAM coding systems in music. Using these items would be a fun way for my students to experience another way to create and explore music. They need help differentiating note values and pitches, exploring phrases and have opportunities to research styles and genres of music. I want to create workstations so that I can differentiate their learning. Please support this project to aid my students in learning more about each other and music.
