Our school is a 3,500 student, comprehensive high school located in a highly impoverished area. There are approximately 8,900 households in our community, of which 58% have children under the age of 18 living in them. Our student population is 98% Latino, 1% Arabic (Lebanon and Palestine), and the remaining 1% is made up of various ethnic groups. Over 90% of our students are on a free or reduced priced lunch program and attend classes with an average size of 35-plus students.
