My Kindergarten students are filled with an eagerness to learn every day. Their energy is contagious. Through their eyes, I have a window to the world. From the moment they walk in, my classroom becomes alive. Many of them begin the year with limited experiences beyond their own families. We are a Title I school so they are not always afforded the luxuries that many other students have at home. My classroom is the place where they can explore new cultures, gain valuable knowledge from books and technology, and most importantly learn from each other. Our classroom is an environment where they are safe to ask questions, and where they are encouraged to take risks. I believe that they can and WILL succeed. My students are not allowed to say "I can't". If we ever hear these words in my classroom, we as a class remind that student that "they can, because they are FABULOUS". If I leave my students with anything at the end of the year, I hope it is the belief that they can and will succeed.
