Our scholars are ready to read in two languages. At the beginning of this school year only three of our students were able to read a short sentence in Spanish. Now 15 of our early emergent readers are reading in Spanish. Our students need Spanish leveled reading books and BrainPOP Español to help them learn Spanish vocabulary and to write simple sentences in Spanish! These Spanish leveled readers will be used in independent reading, small groups reading, and guided reading lessons. The maps and globes will help us to learn about other countries and study children in spaces around the world, as well as be a global citizen and understand that in other countries speak other languages. We will read, write, and learn in Spanish.
