I learned how to read when I was three and loved it ever since. Reading promoted my imagination and personality. However, developing reading skills is much more important for ESL students. Many types of research indicate that there is a strong correlation between reading and academic success. In other words, a student who is a good reader is more likely to do well in school and pass exams than a student who is a weak reader. I encourage my students to read as much as they can by borrowing books from the classroom library or giving them books as gifts for Christmas. They show huge interest in reading and look forward to our 15-20 minute reading circle time every day. that's why I wish to make their reading time more exciting and comfortable.
Donations to this project support the building of my students reading skill and imagination. Bounce ball chairs and the area rug will allow my students to have a longer yet relaxed reading experience. Also, the wide-ruled composition book will help them write book reports and essays about the books they read. Thank you for helping me take them to places and showing them the world through reading.
