My students will read this book in my AVID EL class in English and in my Spanish NS 2 class in Spanish. The students met the author and all of the struggles he went through and how it was to grow up in beautiful Oxnard. My students have been asking for this book and I only have my copy. I know that with Distance Learning, I can assign this book for them to read at home. It can be more like a reading club. I know that they will enjoy it.
