I am asking for resources including two Foam Sensory Paint Sets, a complete set of Alphabet & Number Dough Building Cards, a set of Magnetic Sensory Builders, two packs of Scented Dough, three boxes of Smelly Markers and two hearing protectors. I have requested the materials since my students love activities that involve their senses like smell, touch and sound. I know that my students are more willing to work if they are motivated to do so. Because my students are not motivated by the same things that typically developed children do, I need to be more creative in grabbing their interested. Not only will I be able to use these materials to engage learning, I will be using them to help during those much needed breaks. Through out the day, my students often need to take a few moments to get away from the academic demands of kindergarten. So whether it is running their hands through water marbles or squishing scented dough, they can take a break in order to be prepared for the next adventure.
