I often try to look for ways that I can teach my students multiple skills with one text or tool. To date, I have not been able to incorporate a true novel study for the school year. I would like to change that and think that WONDER is the ideal text to do so with the students I will have this year. Reading the book WONDER will allow me to teach my students standards for ELA while simultaneously teaching them about tolerance and anti-bullying. In order to do so, I need to obtain a class set of the book. I know that most of my students cannot afford to spend $10-$15 on a supplementary text. With a class set, every student would have the opportunity to engage in the novel study.
