My students are eager to learn and apply their music knowledge. Although many of my students have a passion for music, their families often cannot afford private music lessons. Without a quality music education, they may never discover the joy of making music. Your donation will go directly toward the purchase of 11 Kala KA-SWB Waterman soprano ukuleles. A great beginner string instrument, ukuleles are easy to play, are very portable, and are used as a tool for reading music. These instruments will be used with 120 4th and 5th grade students. As a result of this project, students will learn how to read tablature and play both popular and folk music. My goal is for students learn how to sing and play the ukulele simultaneously. This will help them see themselves as "real" musicians. Just think what a difference you can make in the lives of our students by providing them with new, quality instruments!
