John B Monlux Elementary/Monlux Math Science Technology Magnet School serves students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to 5th. Our school provides services for nearly 800 students with an ethnic population of: 3% African American, 38% Hispanic/Latino, 4% Asian, 2% Filipino, 53% White. 39% of Monlux students are English Learners with a current reclassification rate of 12%. 11% of students receive Special Education services and 12% are identified as GATE students. The majority of students identified as “White” have Armenian as their primary language. The other languages spoken at Monlux include: Spanish, Russian, Korean, Thai, French and Hebrew. Monlux Elementary is a School-Wide Title 1 school with 69% of our students receiving either free or reduced priced lunch.
