My students come to the library at least once every week with their classes. I strive for the library to be a positive place for learning and a Lego Wall will fit nicely. Adding the element of play through a learning environment, students can come to realize school is also fun, learning is fun! Students are not often allowed much time to "play". School can be demanding and sometimes difficult. Some students need space to be creative, and some need space to self regulate. Why not have a place for both? Legos are simple and easy items to begin a maker-space area in the library. All ages, even adults, love spending time building and creating. The Epic Lego Wall will open up opportunities for my students to create and then share what they started with other students.
