My students are very active. All of my students have a learning disability of some kind. 90% of my students have been diagnosed with ADHD, which is a huge obstacle in their learning. Stability balls are a great way to keep students in their seats and still give them the freedom to move a little. Research proves that the use of stability balls in place of chairs improves academic success through an increase in concentration and attention to task. Students ranging from ages of Pre-school to Sixth grade attend our school. 40.2% of the population are at or below the poverty rate. 100% of the population receives free breakfast and lunch. 83.3% of our school district are minorities with 66.1% being African American and 11% Hispanic. Even though my students have many obstacles, they still love to come to school and learn.
