Many of my students don't have access to basic things like glue sticks and markers. We do a lot of interactive notes in my class, along with bullet journaling to help with goal setting, and writing/picture responses to prompts (i.e., 100 Things I Love or Memory Box). Having access to these basic items at school will help them engage in the writing process. My students really enjoy interactive note-taking and creative journaling. They have shared that it helps them organize their notes and ideas, and more importantly, it motivates them to write. Anything that gets them excited about writing helps me because when they love something, then the learning becomes more meaningful. My goal is to always provide meaningful learning experiences for my students.
