Part of learning to read is developing a love of reading. In order to develop a love of reading, kids need a comfortable space to explore the world of words that books provide. I want to build a comfortable reading corner that students will have daily access to. The class is broken up into teams of four; each team will be assigned a day that they have access to the reading nook. They will be allowed free choice for their reading on that day. Thanks to a plush rug, ample lighting, and friends with which to share their reading, my students will have an additional resource to promote a love of reading.
