Every week we do an engineering project such as building a bridge out of toothpicks and marshmallows or building a structure out of flashcards. As a teacher, I have had to buy and gather supplies from parents, and the leftovers from the teacher who used to be in our room.I realize that I still need materials for our weekly STEAM project and for our integration of art into the other subject areas too. Some of the projects that we are hoping to utilize these materials for are: - cultural days, where we create art projects around a holiday or celebration of a culture, such as Day of the Dead, Thanksgiving Day, December Holidays, Hispanic Heritage Month, Chinese New Year, African American History, etc. -engineering painting and designing our structures -making art connections with math.
