The Spanish for Heritage/Native speakers classroom is a wonderful space for students to continue to grow in their appreciation and understanding of their mother language within the school setting. It is well documented that students who read in their native language, will be able to use their skills to improve their reading and writing in English. The variety of books that I have chosen, will ensure that students that have diverse linguistics skills in Spanish, will grow in their reading and comprehension skills independently. They will be able to chose books not only based on their reading level but also based on their interest!

About my class
