The Library at our elementary was just fully remodeled with funds from our bond money. Our previous librarian retired and I have been fortunate enough to become the new librarian. Our collection of books is old and dated. In a world where technology is a part of our students everyday lives, my goal is to replace the iPhone in their hands with a book! Our students are very motivated readers. We continue to have exemplary success with the Accelerated Reader program paired with passionate teachers that foster a love of reading. Unfortunately, we do not have a library budget to fill our library with new books. It is imperative that our students are engaged in literature, interested in non-fiction subjects, and curious about STEAM based content.
