Our class is made up of a multilingual and global community of learners. We have a group of self-starters who are enthusiastic readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and historians. As a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher, I design exciting learning experiences tailored to the academic and social needs of young children in a STEAM-enhanced, Reggio-inspired classroom. In TK, we build on the skills and strategies learned in preschool settings to ensure students will begin Kindergarten with confidence. I provide opportunities for social-emotional growth, language development and communication through dramatic play.
