I am a first-year teacher and want to foster an environment where all students feel safe, respected, and celebrated! It is important to me that students feel represented within the classroom through content and literature. Often times, our students of color are not as represented and don't see people with their same culture succeeding or surpassing boundaries. By incorporating multicultural literature within my classroom library, I know I will be one step closer to achieving an inclusive classroom and showing each and every single one of my students that they are capable and worthy of a very successful life.
