Students learn best when they are passionate of the topic. In my classroom students are given 20% time to explore interests and create passion based projects. My classrooms have limited print rich resources to respond to these needs. These books will serve to expand the knowledge and passions of the knowledge seeking gifted mind. This includes learning about careers, science, people and places. Gifted students are passionate about topics or interests and need opportunities to further explore their passion and lead them to new discoveries. These books and supplies will be used to create exploration boxes. The boxes will include, books, specific higher order thinking tasks, supplies if needed (eg. art pencils, light tray, architectural tools), and links for technology connections or virtual tours. The boxes will also provide curriculum enrichment and information for career explorations related to the interests.
