My classroom is blended with three and four year olds, and it is the tenth classroom for prekindergarten on our campus. Since my class was added late, we are lacking the resources to enhance our learning like our sister classes. My students want to do the work, but we don't have the materials to get the work done. My project is geared to knock down that barrier, and get my classroom up and ready for learning, so that my students are on the same page as the other classrooms. My students need hands on materials to understand learning, and that happens during workstations. With only two printers on campus, this gets hard at times. My goals is to be able to prep and plan for my scholars so they can have enjoyable workstations available every unit. We are also a full day program, so after lunch my scholars start to shut down. Having snacks allows me to keep them fueled and ready to learn, while also being able to reward them for good behavior. This motivational factor helps keep the momentum going in the classroom.
