My students come from diverse economic backgrounds. Somerville is a community that truly does include people from all walks of life, be it profession, culture, or faith. I believe music is the universal language that transcends these "demarcations" between people. In my classroom, I erase these delineations between children through song and dance. I believe music is for everyone, and through additional funding, I hope to continue this very important work.
