The listening center will make a difference in my students learning by giving them the opportunity to receive information through auditory processing in a new and exciting way. I plan to set up a listening corner in the classroom where students will have the ability to listen to stories in an independent setting. This station will be used to build vocabulary, and build context around familiar and unfamiliar concepts. This will also give me the opportunity to track student growth within the area of listening comprehension. As their language production progressively improves in listening, my hope is that the new found information will transfer into their production in speaking and writing. I would like to continue to build their confidence as writers by binding their books like the books they know and love.
