My students are getting a very comprehensive education, by being provided a forest for nature curriculum, a research-based and hands-on reading and writing curriculum, and even guidance lessons to promote social and emotional growth. With today's emphasis on STEM both in the work force and in every day life, students can be more equipped by starting to learn these skills at an early age. We will be doing a STEM activity every week, and working on coding throughout the whole year. Coding is not just staring at a tablet. Coding is problem-solving, collaboration, and many other 21st Century Skills teachers are striving to provide to their students. These skills make them more positive productive members of society. In order to better teach my students coding and these problem-solving skills, we will be using the App-Controlled Robot Balls so that they can physically see their codes and the coding lessons come to life. Instead of just playing with apps and using paper and pencil coding curriculum, these robots make the codes more real-life and MUCH more engaging. With the class size I have, quite a few robots are needed to ensure each student gets to experience this wonderful learning tool. These robots will last for many years, meaning many students will get the the chance to enjoy this fun learning opportunity. Thank you for considering!
