It's so important for young children to be exposed to a variety of literature. While I will do my best to make sure I incorporate read-alouds, and other print into the classroom throughout the year, it's also so necessary for young students to find things that interest them and read about them on their own! This is why I need to set up a library within my classroom. This will help my students to be able to choose the literature that they are interested in reading and will allow me to organize our books so that my kids can find the things they want to read. These shelves will be an investment that’s I hope to make last for years in my class so they can be enjoyed by many students over my teaching career.
