My Pre-k students are in need of headphones. Without headphones, it's been hard for them to stay focused on the computer/tablet. My students can easily get distracted by each other's computers, as well as my virtual students with everything going around in their homes. Some of my students are sitting next to siblings listening to their own class. This discourages students from participating because it's hard for them to stay focused and discourages them from taking off their mute buttons. This year has brought challenges in school and at home. While Pre-K students are working on their attention span as part of the learning process, they deserve to be able to focus on their learning (free from distractions). With COVID, each student has to have their own. We are in high poverty, Title I school. Their parents can not afford to buy the headphones. Every child deserves a high-quality and equitable education. Help us create a Headphone Zone in our Pre-K Classroom!
