I have 27 students in my classroom, 17 boys and 10 girls, and for my area, that is a full load. With such a big class, it can be challenging sometimes, but I think my students do a pretty good job. My classroom is definitely a broad horizon of personalities. They keep me quite entertained. I try to make learning fun for them the best I can, whether it be using funny voices when we read, coming up with little chants when they do a good job or just flat out be overly excited when we get to do something. If you're excited about learning, then your children will be. Most of our learning is done whole group or with partners. The kids really enjoy being in groups and having a peer to help them learn. The area where I teach is definitely a rural area. Over half of my students are sons and daughters of coal miners. However, our school has a whole is an impoverished school. It is not unusual for our school to have 1 class per grade.
