The kids in our classroom need to get busy acting their age! Their main job is to be PLAYING! On the playground, we only have a few donated trucks to play with. We are asking for large sized sturdy outdoor trucks so that our kids can all be playing. While using their gross motor skills to learn coordination and balance; they are also using their social and emotional skills to negotiate turn taking and play planning. The trucks we are asking for are all different colors (including pink and purple) to encourage all students to use them. We need trucks and cars outside, but inside too! Inside the classroom, we are asking for Matchbox cars. They will be used for indoor recess, but also use for play, but also to create an alphabet game where the children "drive" a car with a letter on it into a garage with matching letters.
