The listening center will be used in our daily reading workstation time. This will give my students the opportunity to develop a greater love of reading. Often times students may approach reading with some apprehension, especially if reading is not their favorite subject. With the listening station, this will take the anxiety out of reading. The listening center will create confident readers that are familiar with new words and concepts. While growing their vocabulary by listening to various stories. The listening center will also be great for modeling fluency and timing also.
