This year, we are focusing on increasing our reading comprehension using the valuable strategy of making connections. These students are on Individual Education Plans with reading as one of their learning goals. My project focuses on the importance of reading...taking in information to feed their hungry brains. I use a 360-degree approach to learning which teaches students to make connections with the world around them. This aligns with my style of teaching and my student's style of learning which is hands-on, student centered using the across-content (STEAM...Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Art) approach.
