These materials will make a difference by providing students with reading, writing, and math skills that is necessary for life. As an example, students will be able to learn word families association with everyday writing skills and build sentences with the magnetic lettering. Math can get more hands-on by using the magnetic numbers to practice and demonstrarte understanding of basic math skills. We would create a lesson using these magnetic numbers by adding or subtracting totals from their token economy checkbooks. This will transition into life skills of how they can use the remaining balance to buy items. Every student is at different levels in their development and by providing these tools, I can scaffold the lessons to the students' needs.
