The world around us has advanced greatly through the usage of technology; however, our classrooms are only just beginning to transform and adapt to the current trend of the working world.
As a teacher in the 21st century, I would like to provide my students with technological resources that support 21st century learners. Incorporating iPads in our daily routine will help differentiate learning and allow for student centered engagement.
These iPads will be used throughout our day, but will especially be a great addition to our centers or small group stations for reading and math, as students are independently practicing new and prior skills. There are many great apps that are available to encourage my students' curiosities.
My students come from a low-income community so they may lack access to such technologies at home. It is up to the teacher to bridge the gap and provide relevant instruction and instructional resources to aid students in learning these 21st century skills, as well as incorporating it into our daily curriculum.
Thank you for your support in helping our kids become successful and well-equipped individuals!
