Increasing our collection of popular series and authors will help students build confidence in their reading skills. Reading books that are part of a series allows students to become familiar with characters, plot structure, and author's style. Expanding our popular author collection gives students more choices after they finish one book by that author. Choosing books is difficult - especially for students who struggle with reading. Books in series can be a comfort zone that can build better readers. these books also get students talking to each other about what they are reading which is a win-win for growing vocabularies and readers!

About my class
