Every year parents and myself prepare for the beginning of the new school year with the need to buy multiple school supplies like "Paper and dry erase markers." These consumables become very wasteful in a first grade classroom. What if that could all change with the use of " Boogie Boards!" "Boogie Boards" are the new dry erase boards that can be used for quick responses without the constant purchase of dry erase markers and paper! These boards will be helpful in my classroom by allowing my first graders to interact with lessons without the use of standard paper and pencil methods! It's amazing how student interest can be piqued with just a little deviance from the " regular way of doing things." These boards will be utilized in all subject areas such as word study, math and grammar. They will be used to show short evidence of learning such as quick writes, exit tickets, reading jottings and much more ! These boards have never ending use. The best part is how much money we will all save from paper waste and dry erase markers constantly drying out!
